José Pilartes-Congo Presents Research and Receives Scholarship at SCAUG 2026

MANTIS Ph.D. candidate José Pilartes-Congo participated in the 2026 South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG) Conference, held May 4-7 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

José presented “Super-Resolution Enhanced Urban Surface Modeling from Single-View PlanetScope Imagery.” The research examines the use of image super-resolution and artificial intelligence to enhance PlanetScope satellite imagery for urban surface modeling and large-area geospatial analysis. During the conference, José was also recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Regional SCAUG Scholarship. The merit-based award supports students pursuing geospatial science degrees and recognizes their academic and professional accomplishments.
