MANTIS is pleased to welcome two new doctoral students, Qiuhong Yang and Abiodun Adedeji, whose research advances the use of geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence to address environmental and infrastructure challenges.

Qiuhong Yang has joined the Coastal and Marine System Science Ph.D. program. She holds degrees from Central South University and the University of Houston. Her research focuses on geodesy and remote sensing, particularly the application of InSAR to investigate surface deformation, sea-level change, and coastal processes. Abiodun Adedeji has joined the Computer Science Ph.D. program with a specialization in Geospatial Informatics. His research integrates UAS-based remote sensing, computer vision, and artificial intelligence for automated pollinator plant recognition, habitat mapping, and environmental compliance along transportation corridors.
